Sadly, that shroud belongs in the same folder as Bigfoot.
Enough has been done to it to firmly establish that it did exist during the first millenium-and-a-half, or so. It belongs in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus class.
And I would really have liked it had the thing been used on Jesus.
