...I'll pardon your redefining of my post and trying to divided and conquer. The political forum is where I said there are no conservatives in sight - not the Zone. No disrespect or slur was intended to any other Zoner, much less the ones you mentioned. The Zone is by no means conservative rich, however.
Bush isn't concerned about seeking personal wealth - at this point is should be quite obvious he's almost only concerned about his afterlife and doing his God's bidding.
Cheney could've made a heckuva lot more money staying with Halliburton the past 8 years. Like it or not, at some point you must realize he has some concept, however so foreign to perceive, of self-sacrifice for ideals he believes in - even if they are not the same religious guided ideals of Bush.
As for the rest who are always included in the list of greedy conservatives - most of these folks are about as conservative as Barbara Streisand or Britney Spears. Monopolists are not conservatives, contrary to liberal popular belief. I do not look at most of the Fortune 500 CEOs as conservatives. Most are anti-capitalists. Just because they are in "business" and "rich" does not make them capitalists or worse examples of "pure" unbridled capitalism as the left so often imagines they are.
Corruption and free markets don't mix. There will always exist some form of exploitation of mind, resources and circumstances but the the bottom line is not a rigged deck. The Rockefellers, Gettys and other turn of the century barons used free market capitalism when it suited them and leveraged corruption the rest of the time. I am the loudest supporter of a more active antitrust legislation and activities. I would also require greater filtering of stockholding by known anti-capitalists who destroy companies for their own enrichment.
As for Coulter, at some point you will realize all souls have merit and worth and that one can't hold hate in one's heart for others just because they are different and do not share our values or attitudes.
Live and let live...give peace a chance...teach the world to sing...judge not lest ye be judged...
...get with the liberal program.
