The idea that life was deliberately planted on this planet, say by a
"seed ship" or some trash left over by a visiting expedition.
At least in this scenario, the alien organics could reach Earth much
faster than by random drifting and would also survive due to the
intelligence behind their delivery keeping them preserved.
