It's a tired old subject, beat to death, and thoroughly explored and picked apart, but your response is one of the most novel and perceptive ones I've ever read. Finally, a new way of looking at this problem!
This is the kind of explanation that makes one say "Sure, that's obvious. Why didn't I think of that?" But no one has before.
Now lets see if we can extend that concept to space. Just as there is no past or future but only a present, then there must be no "there", only "here". Hmmmmmmm.
