How does a country run as a plutocracy recruit middle-class, two-income families enjoying the fruits of Union negotiating to support them? And do so unreasoningly, blindly, without questioning?

Otherwise personable, intelligent people, they support an authoritarian government hell-bent on transferring wealth from the rest of society to the super-rich. And don't question the methods. Professing capitalism and practicing socialism, professing peace and fighting wars, unaware of the misery they cause.

One of them on these boards said that the super-rich work hard for their money and deserve it. Those people who took their tax cuts and invested in super-leveraged hedge fund, reaping enormous profits until there were losses. Working very hard. And the losses?

Which the government transferred to poorer people.

Who do they recruit these people? I know I need to understand, I want to understand, and so far it is beyond me.
