I find the concept of the multiverse personally interesting and very appealing but I could not agree more with your analysis of how it's based upon conjecture as a result of hypothethes that have NOT met the test of falsifiable experiments. I too have a scientificly inclined layperson's skepticism about the whole string theory physics tenure track.
