Exxon Mobil, just one oil company, paid more taxes in 2007 (about $30 billion) than the entire bottom 50 percent (income) of Americans paid in income tax in 2005 (about $29 billion). That's over 65 million people.
Just saying.
Do you really think the government will run the oil companies better? Are you learning nothing from what's been happening with the "nationalized" portions of our mortgage industry?
