Is Responsibility gone?

When I was buying my house two years ago, I had several lenders try to talk me into a higher loan, or those loans with the unfixed rates. I knew my means. I knew what I could afford. Sure, I could have gotten a loan for a house twice as big and expensive than what I got, but I didn’t. I got a fixed 30 year loan that I could afford. I was responsible.

Others were not. And now their irresponsibility will probably cost me. My home value will probably plunge (While they get to keep their bigger more expensive home at the expense of us taxpayers). My taxes will probably go up.

We can blame the government all we want to for this mess, but I put all the real blame on these greedy and/or irresponsible people that got loans they couldn’t afford, and on the idiots who gave them those loans in the first place.

I say screw this bailout, let them all fall. Maybe then they will learn some responsibility. If you can't be responsible, you should at least be responsible for your actions.
