I've watched you move from "everything is under control", the "economy is basically sound" to a panicked "we have to do this and do it now or calamity will ensue". I've seen you say "not to worry" and then "worry, worry deep, long and hard".
There were many, many warnings. Warren Buffett refused to deal in these instruments 5 years ago, citing they were "weapons of mass destruction". Along the way many, many people suggested the continued low interest rates were creating a very bad subprime situation.
You were quite alert to protecting us against the non-danger of Iraq. Proactive to the max, starting a war to prevent no threat.
Given the severe consequences of your fiscal policies, why didn't you act to to prevent it? You had the power, the disiciplined troops in the Congress. Only you could have done it.
But instead now you are blaming, whining, and screaming "now, now, now", "move, "move, move". We again have to save ourselves from you and your ilk. The costs of your huge government, your wars, your tax cuts, your budget deficits, and your trade deficits.
You, sir, are a tragedy, a disaster. A narcissistic maniac. Your legacy is clear and the sooner we can start working our way out of it the better.

Note to Bush: If it were that damned important, why wasn't it prevented?
