When the subject was economics, you were all sounding like gerbils on speed, and coming at the same point from a dozen directions, several of them on collision courses. If we're making fun of Palin, we're in safe territory.
Unfortunately, the same thing is going on in Congress.
Like I said, America had pretty much shitcanned all the politicians who knew how economics worked. Not enough goodies to be passed around in real world economics.
Palin screwed up her answer. She should have pointed out to Couric that her question's basic premise was inane, and based on the same ridiculous "money from heaven" ideas that give us "economic stimulus" checks.
McCain's campaign is doing to Palin what they did to Robert Redford in "The Candidate." Too bad.
On the other hand, if she's half as tough as advertised, she should be able to tell the campaign wonks and career political advisors to go to hell. If she can't do that, how can she do it with anyone tougher?
