As the campaign progresses, McCain looks increasingly dismal, less and less like a leader and more like a guy who became useful to the party by getting shot down and surviving captivity.

The "maverick" has who-knows-how-many backroom hands up his butt. He's yet another right-wing political muppet whose pretensions to leadership will be greeted with bemused smirks by the good ol' boys who *really* call the shots (and have been doing so for 8 years). If he gets elected, it won't just be more of the same...it'll be more of those same damn people.

In the end, McCain and Palin are cut from the same cloth. Good little puppets.
