Well, backing off a bit. I no longer take the idle temptations of the flesh so seriously.

Having won some, lost some, soared the heighths and plumbed the depths, having learned to end the most tenacious relationships with her still thinking it was her idea, having learned to not argue with even the flimsiest excuses she may have for ending it, even having dated one state-wide elected female politician, another the daughter of a governor, I've withdrawn from the active hunt and have relaxed into the arms of comfortable friendships.

Palin at one time might have been interesting, though for me politicians were tiresome. Always campaigning, focussed on self, and with hectic schedules. Lots of perks and privileges, though, and waiting in line anywhere was non-existent. And I don't have a lot of respect for Palin's politics. Maybe that's an overstatement. I don't have any respect for Palin's politics.

There's a lot, a very lot, to be said for getting older. However, I have a lot of Joe Sixpack friends, Joe 12 pack friends, and some "I don't know if my name is Joe anymore or not" full case friends.
