Squandered a surplus. The only short-term item here.
Eroded civil rights, ignored Constitution, systemized torture of prisoners, Guantanamo.
Enormous debt, absolutely incredible.
Huge trade deficits.
Ignoring the Boomers coming along with that financial obligation.
Cost of financial bailout. (It happened after 7.5 years of his watch.)
Two started and either lost or unfinished wars.
A depleted military.
Incredible Veterans Administration costs. Equipment replacement and refurbishing.
The biggest Federal government known to Man.
Loss of leadership, friendship and good will from traditional friends.
Except for the first item, those will last a long, long time. And we can see it now.
Comparing the Clinton Legacy with the Bush Legacy is like comparing a damaged Chevrolet with a wrecked bicycle. A half-full box of oranges with one apple, rotten. A slightly moldy brick of cheese with a turd. There ain't no comparison.
To suggest that the devastating effects of Bush's policies won't be felt for decades is typical Conservative nonsense. That needs to go back to the alternate universe where you guys hatch and believe this stuff, each supporting the other without input from the real world.

Consider what Bush's "legacy" is, and then how long it will last.
