Colin Powell is one of our most respected (and I think beloved) figures. His ethics, his stature, I believe, are unquestionable. Whether the neocons agree with him (and they won't), attacking Powell is like biting your own leg off. Not that they aren't capable of that. They DID nominate Palin.
