Colin's choice was easy.

Colin had ruffled feathers within the existing GOP framework and that's why he bowed out. He would find no place in a McCain administration. By supporting Obama, right as Obama's lead has nearly vanished, is a way of earning a place in an Obama administration.

As a man who is fundamentally just and has a desire to do good, he has placed himself in a position to do the best good. I'd rather see him with Obama than any of half a dozen less experienced and polished individuals. Obama needs all the "good" experience at his ears he can get if he becomes President.

McCain's career has been "Grade A Jerk" all too often and has been a flagrant traitor to his own party just to serve his own self-interests. It may have escaped your discerning perception - but NO conservative will shed any tears if he loses. The GOP is only supporting him by default - and to protect their own various held elected positions. He's a closet liberal, but as McCain finds out, being a closet liberal doesn't help you much with the left or the right. He's in a netherworld of his own making.

Some of us still lament Fred Thompson's health issues which crippled his candidacy.

Hillary, McCain & Obama - all self-serving scum.

Powell's doing the nation a favor if he acts as a backup for Obama - God knows Obama will be utterly clueless if he only has the standard hard leftist parasites to back him up.

So no, Colin is not a traitor. He's always taken the role of Yehlu Chutsai to heart - whether with Bush - or now with Obama. My long sermons about Yehlu's brilliance in helping to intelligently moderate decline in a declining culture seem to have sunk in.

Good for him.
