A puzzlement. Conservatives have run up the country's debt beyond anyone's wildest imagination. A war, for instance, put on credit cards.
We've seen that tax cuts on the wealthy didn't add up to new and better jobs. Those led directly to the current financial collapse, as the money was used to put 10% down on deriatives with the rest "leveraged". And when the market collapsed, their gamble failed, they couldn't pay their debts, and their banks failed, too.
With the "trickle down" economics thoroughly discredited, what do they think should be done with that debt. Have the interest cripple us? Print more money, promote inflation so as to make it cheaper to pay off? Or just create a new currency, maybe the "peso", and walk away from their mess?
Arf (They'll say cut taxes even more, Bow, and the money and jobs will simply pour in. Huh, I missed that part, the money and jobs part.)
How do Conservatives think we'll ever pay off Bush's debt without tax increases?
