AP is dying and becoming irrelevant
About the only thing they have going for them these days is their strong conservative corporate sponsorship.
Their credibility though is no longer taken for granted. The blogosphere has caught their reporters in huge distortions and outright lies during this campaign and I have no doubt their polling is heavily weighted along the lines of Drudge.
This business strategy isn't exactly working out for them either. Day after day more and more media outlets are dropping their AP contracts and finding other independent news gathering agencies.
Maybe you should buy some stock in them.
