Detection threshold

The way I see it, the poor detection threshold of our eyes only lets us see rocks and trees. Some machines are better and can detect photons, electrons, and ions. Other machines are better still. As the detection threshold improves, we may map out the whole geometry of a single subatomic particle, and find that if we twist it this way and that, it looks alot like a different particle entirely. Improve the detection threshold still more, and maybe find that particles are not actually isolated things at all, that a whole clump of particles might be a single particle, or a polydimensional tile, and that the whole universe is just one big connected whole. Math is awesome dude.
