"Yes - the interiors of asteroids are commonly colder than their surfaces. This has been discussed on the meteorite list multiple times. "
Or. What is a comet?
I had meant to address this a bit more, hence the *.
Would the asteroid interior be colder than average temperature of the surface of asteroid?
Or are we talking about the highest temperature of the top few centimeters of the sun lit surface?
Obviously rumble piles with voids in the interior would be cooler. And as an example, possibly Mars' moons.
Btw, I read somewhere that our Moon could have such voids near it's surface [the mantle, not in it's interior/core]. And obviously a "hollow earth" or something like it would be cooler.
So, of course with asteroids it would varying depending upon it's composition but what size range is the coolest.
Is a 1 km diameter asteroid interior cooler than a 10 meter diameter asteroid?
If you talking about a solid rock, what size is the coolest in exactly the center "core"?
