Will the Republican Party then return to prudent fiscal management?
And effective government delivery of required governmental services?

Or will attacks simply grow more vicious?
Will "the wrecking crew" continue to function?

What will the US reactionary faction do?

Obama is one sharp cookie, but its still a long way to election day,
and there may be a November surprise.

What Reagan did when he obtained office was to slap on a hring freeze,
then fire all Democratic appointees and any who had "burrowed in"

Then he began a massive expansion with his own appointees.

The "out-sourcing" and the "lobbyists" grew, a private "bureaucracy".

In any case, the record of assassinations here in the US is not that good
(Kennedy, King, Robert Kennedy, Squeaky's shot at Ford, Reagan ( a close call)
and given the level of hate out there, who knows, we might end up with
Biden as President.

I've said this before, but I'm sure that W. is looking forward to returning to Texas.
