The engine has just flown out into the abyss. Hasn't hit the bottom by a long ways.

But we're going to change engineers. The last engineer could have stopped, could have taken another track, could have prevented this wreck, decided the hell with it. Didn't have the attention span or intellectual capacity to comprehend the situation. Wasn't going to be engineer much longer anyway.

Guess who the extremists will blame for the crash? (Hint: Bless their hearts, they've already started.)

And even after the engine hits there will be train cars coming down on it for a long, long time. We in the US are in those cars.
