...and we have survived in spite of ourselves...or in spite of the Presidency. Every president has had to deal with disasters. They are defined in history by how well they managed/mismanaged the impending doom. The presidency is more about competency than ideology...
I prefer fiscal conservatism....social tolerance...shrinking government... a right to privacy and respect for a persons' property.
I will probably never see the day when all these issues will be resolved...because for me it is about ideology.
Once a preident...ANY president reaches the oval office..it is a crap shoot because their true agenda weasels to the front of the line.
Can the damage be repaired?
How big of a band-aid ya got?

It isn't any worse than what our past presidents have had to deal with.
