It only took just over two centuries for this nation of independence
and openess to race, creed, color, religion, etc., to finally have a
non-white as a major Presidential candidate.
And almost fifty years ago, it was a big deal to have the first non-
Protestant President, who just barely made it into office. And we
have not had one since.
