I am bothered at how McCain's aides have made her the scapegoat
for McCain's failure. Even he had the decency to blame himself alone
at his concession speech.
Did she mess things up? Probably. But it don't think it was deliberate,
and it was McCain's people who wanted her for VP to get the
disgruntled Hillary votes in the first place. And Palin clearly was not
alone in why McCain ultimately did not win.
Speaking of reactions, I was bothered by the facial expressions and
body languages of some of those in the crowd at McCain's concession
speech. They weren't sad, they were mad. As in mad enough to
cause physical damage or worse.
And they booed Obama's name when McCain mentioned it, while at
Obama's rally they applauded when he mentioned McCain.
