re: Dark logic, the wider perspective.

I found Bowser’s explanation of “dark logic” interesting because it seems to apply to many other areas of discourse.

Politics is only one of the areas, science and theology are other areas where it is evident.

I’m not a politician and I‘m not saying that I‘m right, but from my philosophical viewpoint I see two different types of attitudes in the leaders of countries.

One type of personality is very aggressive and arrogant type that tries to control violent acts with violent acts, sort of a life for a life type of a attitude.
That attitude does not solve the problems, two hotheads blaming and trying to kill each other only creates more division and unrest through fear.

Chaos = Dark logic + Dark logic.

The other type of personality wants to understand the other persons viewpoint and then negotiate a solution to the problem.

That can create two different scenarios.

1) Resolution = Normal logic + Normal logic.

2) Difficulty = Normal logic + Dark logic.

Difficulty can be changed to resolution if the dark logic can be corrected, and that is not easy.

Education is the best way to eliminate dark logic, but that does not seem to work very well on older people.

As an example, Bowser has not been able to eliminate dark logic from TB or anyone here that is afflicted with that condition.

The same concept works with scientific ideas.

In one theological writing the concept is put into the following words.

In the Bahá'í Faith, humans are considered to be naturally good, fundamentally spiritual beings. Human beings were created because of God's immeasurable love for us. However, the Bahá'í teachings compare the human heart to a mirror, which, if turned away from the light of the sun (i.e. God), is incapable of receiving God's love. It is only by turning unto God that the spiritual advancement can be made. In this sense, "sinning" is to follow the inclinations of one's own lower nature, to turn the mirror of one's heart away from God.
