So now it's all going to depend on Obama and a friendly Congress.

The possibilities for the future fall between two extremes. Obama will either be a highly successful president and great headway will be made in solving the nation's problems; or alternatively, the Obama presidency is a disaster, either through no fault of his own or due to his gross mismanagement, and the nation will be in worse shape than it is now. The final result will probably fall somewhere in between, but even if either extreme materializes, I doubt the debate on the Zone will sound any different than it does now.
