With the End Times comes the Rapture. And maybe, just maybe, with all the fundamental Christians dragged off into the wild blue, there could be Heaven on Earth for the rest of us.

Maybe something is lost in translation, that what the Good Book says is that ridding the world of extremists would be a good thing, worthy of a just God.

But that wouldn't explain the Mark of the Beast, which is a problem. That seems to allow the "superstition beast" to gobble up Christianity. What is the "Mark of the Beast" if not superstition? Theology? Philosophy?

No. It's Prophecy, such as a black cat crossing one's path is bad luck, or a broken mirror.
