Space/Science

I'll never see Fomalhaut in the 'same light' again.

The HST website has released "historic" images this week
of the first directly-imaged exoplanet orbiting another star:
Fomalhaut.
As you know Fomalhaut is easily visible to the naked eye
and lays only 25 LY from earth.
Every time I'll look at it now I'll realize that there is a jovian
mass planet orbiting it an orbital-distance 4 times further
than Neptune in our planetary system.

A remarkable coincidence! Fomalhaut(a) is 16 times brighter
than our Sun, yet if one floated in Fomalhaut(b)'s frigid
atmosphere, above its clouds, you would see the star Fomalhaut(a)
appear as bright as our Sun appears above Neptune's clouds.

Way to go, HST team! I hope the space repairs on HST go well.
