Ebonics?
That had never even occurred to me. Maybe I've been reading too much of the lolcats (which are hilarious while sad at the same time since they speak to the human condition and longing for things we can't have).
OTOH, am I the only one here who thinks of Barack Obama as a man, not a black man? That's why the Ebonics connection never hit me until explained. The only time I think of his race is when somebody brings it up.
