The demonizing of Iran seems to have paused. I doubt Iran has slowed down it's refinement of uranium but the drums of war are muted. Bush seems to be overwhelmed by the problems the country is facing and Israel would be taking the measure of Obama.

If this keeps up I'll owe the HZ $50 per a bet with TB. I'll be delighted to owe that money.

The way public opinion is manipulated for the benefit of various pressure groups is fascinating. And the way the public always seems to go for it is sad. Jingoism seems to be the most powerful motivator in the world.

It's entirely possible there will be a "provocation" which "requires" an immediate attack, but it seems calm right now.

I wonder if Osama will outlast George W. Bush. Seems to be on track to.
