The ultimate survival strategy is to evolve into an ecosystem of thermophiles: To be able to draw energy from temperature gradients.

To get there we need to experiment with life. Like a farmer selects which of his stock he wants to breed. In the future we'll all be farmers. Space farmers. Energy farmers.
