I managed to locate the thread.
I have a comment on that TED website dated September 18th, pointing out a couple of problems. I spent some time this morning looking through the other comments since then.
He has some well-thought-out points, with the caveats I mentioned in the comment, but it's kind of hard to plow through the standard condescension. I doubt many conservatives actually cower in embarrassment in front of Michelangelo's "David" because his winkie is showing.
