Rob, let me really upset you. I've read the Koran, from front to back. I tried to read "Mein Kampf", but it was too turgid. (The Koran is the "Bible" of Islam, and Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf". I'm hoping neither is in any library near you. You might check.)

RobVG, yours is the attitude of lynch mobs, prejudice and ignorance. It's easy to tell that education has failed you in the sense of giving you an appreciation of the wider world, other cultures and societies, other peoples. You may have gone to some tech school, certainly did not get an education. Much the way athletes seem to.

Now obviously I was raised in the US, am a product of that culture and educational system. I speak English, read a lot, mostly history and biographies.

And you think that perusing Pravda has done something to me? That Pravda is that powerful? Let me suggest the policies and practices of the US in it's role of imperialist has done it. The US in it's other roles is a wonderful place.

Have you ever read the classical military strategists? They all suggest one must know one's enemy.

Did you follow any of the other threads, for instance the photos of airplanes and the shuttle breaking the sound barrier? The slide show of pilots ejecting from planes is also fascinating, as is the article on tanks.

America and American society is a different thing than what we as Americans perceive. You are a different person than you think you are, as am I. Do you remember Robert Burns, "Oh what gift the genie give us, but to see ourselves as others see us"?

You sound like a priest during the Inquisition. And you may note I simply posted that without comment. I think they are full of shit in most cases. I just thought what they consider important was interesting. Sorry you couldn't.

To be honest, I don't think you were as upset as you made it sound. I think you decided to take a cheap shot and it bit you. That's a particular talent I've perfected, and have many scars to show for it. In the same way most of this post is a cheap shot, but I'm not going to redo it.
