What are nixie tubes?
I was born in 1970, the age of the Chip. None of those old-fashioned valves and similar archaisms. My neighbour used to work for the RAAF - he put together old F-86s when they were new - and had all sorts of old bits of junk around the house, like a huge vacuum tube from one of the Antarctic bases' radio sets.
