"Coulter: Liberals are assaulting America. In 'Guilty,' Ann Coulter calls out liberals for bullying — and playing victim."
As is abundantly clear, Conservatives love to be victims. If one protests tax cuts for the wealthy in favor of health insurance for children, one is accused of "class warfare". When the media reports on Conservative excesses such as Abu Ghraib it is the result of a media bias. Conspiracy.
And the next grand strategy is to accuse others of what they are doing. Accusing Saddam of aggressive intentions, neocons were planning to travel halfway around the world to invade Iraq. Accusing Saddam of possessing WMDs, Bush used white phosphorous against civilians in Fallujah. That was after, having accused Saddam of harboring terrorists, Bush used "Shock and Awe" against the civilian population of Baghdad.
Coulter's book is simply a continuation of that strategy.
Franken, in "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them" tore Coulter a new asshole. She is not only often wrong, she is deliberately wrong and repeats her lies even after having been made aware of them. Her credibility is zero except among those who have suspended reason, who are no longer capable of independent thought, and who apply their simplistic ideology to all matters regardless of the factual situation.
Face it. Conservatives and their ideology have been thoroughly discredited the last few years. If they had any self-respect they'd apologize and go away. But they don't.
As Coulter demonstrates, Conservatives simply drudge up the same old stuff and peddle it to each other, scared to death someone will read the Koran or talk with Iranians and learn another point of view. This book is a necessary continuation of the process.
Now, I've only read reviews and exerpts, both of which were designed to give an accurate impression of the whole. And I've read this book before, written by other Conservatives on other subjects. Only the theme remains the same.
