Get portable pets instead
Unless you don't like to travel. People in my life (my sisters included) that have had horses get locked to their residence. Large and non-portable animals require people there all the time to keep them alive, exercised, etc.
When we do get them to go out of town for a day, they're itching to get back home to tend to the horses. Fun animals but you might as well nail your feet to the floor.
