Since I don't have kids, and I'm probably going to be dead before all the consequences of the Conservative/Tparty/Alt-Right/Populofascist/Trump revolution fully manifest themselves, I'm just going to sit back and watch the show.

Its like global warming. There's not much we can do about it now, and its probably too late to start doing something about it anyway, so we might as well sit back, relax, and indulge in a little good old-fashioned Schadenfreude and some well-deserved I-told-you-sos while we watch history unfold.

Sure, sure, a lot of innocent people are going to get hurt, as well as a lot of brave people who did their best to try and stop it. But that's the way God works, isn't it? There are no innocents, punish the righteous and let the wicked prosper. Its the law of the jungle. Everybody's hungry, but we're all on the menu.

Isn't it a delicious irony that the background music played at Trump rallies often included (over the strenuous objections of the Rolling Stones) "You Can't Always Get What You Want"? Somebody in that campaign organization had a really twisted sense of humour.

"But if you try sometime, you just might find, you get what you need."
