Life is lived forward, true, but understood backward.
If Bush and Cheney have been sneaky, devious, secretive and willing to operate beyond the law for 8 years it would be foolish to expect them to all at once, on the last day, become open and honest. Only an idiot would expect that.
Therefore, I cited a reference to over 1,000 sneaky, devious, secretive times Bush has been willing to thwart the will of the people. It is reasonable to assume he's done that with pardons.
