It depends upon what kind of relationship his "real" wife wants. Some guys spend that much time in bars.
He's emotionally abandoned his wife and she may not mind that so much. She doesn't have to relate with him, which could be her idea of a good time.
As for his being "married" to the "real" woman, it's in name only.
