I decided one day that I didn't want to be poor anymore. I decided to stop doing the things that made me poor and turned my ship in a new direction. I took responsibility for my live and my actions. I got motivated, and pulled myself up. I'm no longer poor. By my own hand and by my own determination I worked myself up to where I'm at now. I did it, I did it, I did it.
This is the greatest society on the face of the Earth. We are free people. Free to fail or succeed by our own attitudes and actions. In this country, if you wish to succeed and you put just a bit of energy into achieving your goals, you'll go far. All it takes is a bit of dreaming, planning, self discipline, and working. Our history is full of countless stories of people who had nothing and built wonderful lives for themselves. Maybe you should read up on it sometime.
