we all realize that but I am dumbfounded at the hyper-sensitivity.
Individual Liberals want to be associated with all things liberal that meet their approval but god help the person that applies the wrong shade to favorite qualities.
A perfect example is the vitriolic reaction to any suggestion of seditious behavior which we saw some time ago. If someone suggested that conservatives are traitors to the ideals of our country, I might be somewhat irritated by the broad brush comment, but realizing that there are such conservatives, I would not feel included in that group because I know what is in my heart. I would not be totally bent out of shape.
I swear it seems to be about sensitivity and conservatives have been desensitized by reality.
There was a time that we could discuss thing rationally here but it was a long time ago. I will not participate in any discussion with someone I care about that risks hurting that person's feelings. It is easy enough to do it accidentally on the internet without doing it on purpose.
The difference in the way things are perceived under the new administration are just as I perdicted. It is mostly about nuance in American political reality. The politics that most of us espouse here are about ideals and have nothing to do with reality.
