Iridium
Saw a headline about "two communications satellites crashing" and "Space Station in slight danger" and wondered how the heck crashing geosynchronous satellites could pose any danger at all to something in LEO, or how two comsats could crash at all when they're damn careful about that. Then I found out it was an Iridium satellite and some old Russian thing.
