In that era, one wonders if it was the fate of the GODS or just plain and simple worker dedication that got JFK's Promise fullfilled, for if any disater or malfunction of the missions would have spelled certain delay for the program..... being a kid of the space age in my mid teens the fervor that was building to the APOLLO 11 launch was being hyped in the media, imagine a TV transmision from outer space when today we are so blaise about it. Magazines and TV shows talked about the impending moon mission and being interested in space exploration I was truely PO'ed that I would never, never NEVER again see the LIVE TV Pics from space or the moon ever again except on grainy 8mm films or slides or View Master reels, Boy was I wrong!!!
