Old planes
We have some old WWII warplanes come out here to the airfield about once a year, and it still brings a few of the old veterans out. We made a point of telling our kids who they were and what they did.
WWII veterans are a quiet group. It was a long time before I found out that an acquaintance at church had been on a ship at Pearl Harbor during the attack, and someone else had to tell me that.
