It is either won, as Conservatives claim, or it is lost, as some believe. Either way it's time to come home and let the Iraqis sort it out for themselves.

"The Last Day of the Iraq War. It's too late to fix Iraq before the pullout date. All U.S. troops can do now is keep trying to slow the killing and get out. They call it 'Iraqi good enough.'"

It will either be peaceful and calm, as would happen if the war were won, or there will be a never-ending cycle of escalating violence until another Saddam comes along. Either way, if the only option is to maintain ~300,000 American troops, private support people and mercenaries in the area the cost is unacceptable to a country which is going rapidly broke.

We'll see. As a kid I was always told to not start what I couldn't finish. The last administration didn't seem to finish anything except the tax cuts.
