I used to bring up Clinton's legacy on foreign policy and terrorism. I used to point out that the 9/11 attack was planned in 1999, and that the hijackers were entering this country unopposed as early as 2000. Their visas were accepted despite irregularities.
You wouldn't hear any of it. The actual attacks happened on, as I believe you would put it, "Bush's watch." So, it was all his fault. Same with the economic results of the dot.com crash.
So it's interesting now how much I'm hearing from Obama and his supporters on how everything he's screwing up is "Bush's fault."
Democrats spent years telling us to just pull out of Iraq. Obama ran for President telling us he was going to pull out of Iraq, and the only reason we were still there is because Bush was too stupid or stubborn to pull out of Iraq.
Obama is doing a lot of growing up, very rapidly. I just hope he doesn't do too much damage in the process.
