Shit just happens.
Having a Creator you can't explain create a universe you can't explain is an unnecessary complication that does nothing to clear up the problem or answer the question.
Occam's Razor suggests we just eliminate the middleman.
Explaining how the universe got here is a hell of a lot easier than explaining how God got here.
Remember the story Carl Sagan used to tell? He was lecturing on the "creation of the universe" when a little old lady in the front row said she KNEW how the universe got here.
"It is all built up on the shell of giant turtle."
Carl asked, "and where is that turtle standing?"
"On top of another turtle", she replied.
"And where is THAT turtle standing?" said Carl.
"It's turtles all the way down."
There are no turtles, Johannes. There's just you and me, and I'm not so sure about you.
