...but if you have billions, you still will be able to afford your own sanctuaries. Most of these folks are based out of the Far East where Island hopping keeps them comfortably far away from a Western world collapse. They consider themselves citizens of the world and find their historic mirror image in those who plotted with the Huns to sack Rome.

This is not an organization based on sanity. It is based upon fanaticism and a desire to become rulers of a new world. The West is the only thing that stands between them and global domination of battered, broke nations. So their target is Western culture, financial pillars and educational system.

As for Atlas Shrugged...you really need to re-read that. Hank Rearden, the Industrialist, and John Galt, the Engine Builder, are not the evil capitalists hellbent on money accumulation, sacrificing others all the while.

I imagine you would actually be fiercely loyal to Rearden if you worked for him.
