As noted earlier on Flame, there are Conservatives who do not like the idea of democracy. There are even more Conservatives who wish upon the country more and more of the failed policies of the Right, and wishing more and more misery upon the American people if they, the Conservatives, are not in power. And it's turning into more and more violent talk. Just as the "Right-to-Life" people say they don't advocate killing people, all the while winking and nodding to the point of spastic convulsions, these people are advocating violence.
"At first, it was entertaining — just harmless, hotheaded expostulation. Of course, there were the garbled facts, twisted logic and veiled hate speech. But what did I expect, fair and balanced? It was like walking through an ideological house of mirrors. The distortions can be mildly amusing at first, but if I stay too long it makes me sick.
"But, it’s not all just harmless talk. For some, their disaffection has hardened into something more dark and dangerous. They’re talking about a revolution."
Having read the Conservatives around here, including the Conservatives who say they aren't Conservative, there is no doubt that Limbaugh, Bachmann, et al., speak for the party of Palin accurately. As George Bush demonstrated, bipartisanship means 100% them, nothing for you. When their way leads to wreckage, it makes no difference. They will wreck things anyway. "Let's revolt."
It's a sad state of affairs. I wonder who would come out on top in any revolution?
Arf (You know "revolt" means "let's elect more of our candidates", Bow. Yeah, that's why they call one "revolution" and the other "election".)
Pitchforks and Pistols - " - - - strong words can poison weak minds."
