Did you miss all his campaign commercials promsing change and a new kind of politics? My comment back then was that there was even less evidence Obama would do that than there was for Bush when he campained as a compassionate conservative. I was especially wary after the Reverend Wright Mess exposed him as better at slogans and political expedience than action. I still have hope he will be a better president than Bush, but no longer believe he has a chance to be a great transformative president. He's got more brains and initiative than Bush but has a weaker moral compass from a standpoint of foundation even if I prefer his direction over all.
I support the war on terror and don't believe making someone give information based on fear of being hurt is the same as physically hurting them or doing lasting physical and/or emotional damage. Those are the main things I agreed with Bush on.
I never agreed with:
A rerun of reagonomics.
Throwing away a surplus
Ignoring global warming
Trying to teach religion as science
Pretending we were winning a war when we were loosing (I will admit to being confused by dueling biased reports)
Not having a plan for ruling Iraq after defeating Saddam
Allowing merger after merger in the banking system.
Treating any form of regulation as a bad thing.
Ramming his nose up the gun lobby's ass.

Mark
